Communion cup

Missio Dei is a volitional community of people who are trying to figure out what it means to live as faithful Christians in our moment of history. We come from various Christian traditions but believe it is possible and necessary for us to confess our faith in the generous orthodoxy of Christianity before each other and the world.

What we believe

We believe in God, the Father Almighty,
the Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:

Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.

The third day He arose again from the dead.

He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty,
whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy *catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.

Amen.

(*The word "catholic" refers not to the Roman Catholic Church, but to the universal church of the Lord Jesus Christ.)

When and where

Those who commit to embody the faith as a part of Missio Dei attempt to live as faithful followers of Jesus Christ at all times and in all places. But we also understand the importance of assembling together in a specific time and place. We are currently preparing to meet twice a month in our new commons area in south Denver. (Directions and meeting times coming soon)In the meantime we participate in the formation of each other's faith in our homes and various public places. If you would like more information please send us an email and check this site regularly for updates.
