Hello all,
A couple of things:
1) Summer BBQ: August TBA
Just wanted to let you know about a potential summer BBQ event at my place in early August. We had a great time doing this last year and will hopefully have a great time this year. This event will be for any and all people looking to connect with emergent minded people - whether you've been involved in the conversation for a while or just engaging this will be a place for you! Spread the word, we are looking at Sat. evening the 2nd right now but will confirm ASAP.
2) Church Basement Roadshow
Anybody bummed that the Roadshow is not coming here! I am! BUT it is coming to Tulsa, OK where my parents live. So, I was thinking that perhaps we might want to take a road trip to see the tour in Tulsa. My parents have graciously opened their home to us - so if we would like to load up and drive the 11 hours I'm game!
3) Emergent Women's Group -
I had such a great time getting to know everyone's stories at the last gathering of the Emerging Women's Group at Kathy E.'s place. I hope those of you who came had a great time as well. Please let us know of other women who might not be on our list here or on Kathy's computer that need to be included in our e-mails for the group. Perhaps the most important thing for us today is to connect with one another and encourage conversation on theology, relationships, etc. on the subject matter. I have started a dialogue on my blog on gender issues and would really enjoy some feedback from people on there (www.scribblethat.blogspot.com). I would also really like to get get some male perspectives on the subject -so please comment if you can!
OK, well, I think that is about it for know. I look forward to seeing each of you soon.
